What’s new

Shipped features and fixes, newest first.

Select several layers at once

Pick several layers in the Layers list. Click a layer to select it, Shift-click another to select everything between them, and Ctrl-click (Cmd on a Mac) to add or remove one layer. Each layer also has a checkbox on its left for the same thing without a keyboard. Everything you select is outlined on the slide. Delete and the arrow keys act on the whole selection, and toolbar changes reach every selected widget of the same type.

Select everything that matches, across the whole deck

Select everything like this. Right-click a widget and open Select to pick every widget that shares something with it: the same text color, fill, outline, font or text style, the same type of widget, the same image or words, the same spot on the slide, or the same size. Each choice shows how many widgets it will pick before you click it. It looks across every slide unless you turn on Only this slide, and with nothing selected it offers the most common kinds of widget in the deck instead, such as all images or all circles.

Change them all at once. A selection that reaches other slides stays selected while you scroll, and those widgets show a selection outline where they sit. Delete and the arrow keys apply to every one of them, and toolbar changes to every one of the same type, so you can recolor every subheading, nudge the page number on every slide, or remove a repeated logo in one go. You can also ask the assistant to "make these white" and it edits the whole selection.

Text color reaches every word. Choosing a text color for a whole text box now also recolors words inside it that had a color of their own.

Delete from the right-click menu removes the whole selection. With several widgets selected, the menu's Delete now removes all of them, just like the Delete key.

Restyle a whole deck by asking the assistant

Restyle the whole deck by asking. The deck assistant can now use far more of the Styles panel, the Slide button and the widget toolbars. Ask it to set all the headings in another font and size, give several slides the same background or gradient, switch to another theme, or round the corners of every photo, and it does it in one go.

Colour changes reach everything. "Change all the gold to blue" now finds that colour wherever the deck uses it: single coloured words inside a block of text, shape fills and gradients, lines and borders, tables, callouts, image tints and slide backgrounds. A colour that was see-through stays see-through.

Faster, with less to scroll past. The assistant already knows what is on the slide you are looking at and which colours your deck uses, so most requests now take one step instead of several. While it works you see a short list of what it is doing, and afterwards a single line you can open for the details.

Edits no longer come back blank. Some styling edits used to fail with the assistant saying its request had arrived empty. Those edits now go through, and when one can't, the assistant is told what actually went wrong so it can correct it.

"Make a deck based on this PDF" writes a new deck. Attaching a PDF on the home page and asking for a deck based on it now opens Generate Deck with the PDF as its source material. To turn the PDF's own pages into editable slides, say so: "convert this PDF into slides" or "import this PDF".

Scroll all around a zoomed-in page

See the whole page when you zoom in. Zoom into a deck and you can now scroll all the way up to the top of the first page and all the way down to the bottom of the last one. Before, the editor stopped scrolling as soon as a page was centered, so the top of the first page and the bottom of the last page stayed out of reach once a page was taller than your window. There is now room above the first page and below the last, and the bottom one clears the toolbar so nothing sits underneath it.

Scroll sideways too. When a zoomed-in page is wider than your window, you can now move across it: swipe sideways on a trackpad, use a tilt wheel, or hold Shift and scroll. You can reach the left and right edges of the page, with a little room beside each. On a page that fits, nothing changes.

Works with a single page, and while you carry something. A deck with only one page scrolls when you zoom in, and you can scroll while dragging a widget, up, down or sideways, to carry it across a zoomed-in page. Zoom back out and the page eases back into view; at the normal zoom, scrolling works exactly as it always has.

Deleting frees storage, and everything you keep now counts

Deleting a file from your Library deletes it for good. It now removes the file itself, including its earlier versions and any video, and frees the storage it used. Before, some files, such as ones that came from a deck, a previs or a walkthrough, were only taken off the shelf and kept using space. If you saved the same file more than once, every copy goes together. You are warned first: the message says the file is removed from every deck, walkthrough, previs and project that uses it, and that it can't be recovered.

Everything you keep counts toward your storage. Your total now includes your decks' PDF exports, narration and comment videos, the images in your forms, the Studio's proposals and team documents, your portfolio, and older proposals. On the Storage page, forms, Studio files, your portfolio and older proposals each get a row of their own once they hold anything. Your total may be higher than before.

More uploads check your storage first. Importing a PDF, exporting one, adding form images, adding Studio documents and attaching files to a chat all check for room before they send anything, the same as other uploads. When there is no room you see the same message, and uploads pause.

A full Free workspace can't make new things until it has room. When a Free or Basic workspace is over its storage limit, it can't create decks, forms or walkthroughs, generate AI images or video, or upload. It can still open its work, download it and delete it, and deleting lifts the block straight away. You are asked to upgrade. AI image and video generation checks your storage before it starts, so you aren't charged for something that couldn't be saved. On paid plans, uploads and AI generation pause when storage is full, and you can still create files.

Files stay when a deck is deleted, and collaborators' uploads count for the owner

Deleting a deck, previs or walkthrough keeps its files. Deleting one removes only the deck, previs or walkthrough itself. The files that came from it and are in your Library stay there and open as before.

Files in your Library keep counting toward your storage. A file that came from a deck, previs or walkthrough you deleted used to drop out of your storage total even though it was still stored and still in your Library. It now counts toward your storage for as long as it is in your Library. Your total may be a little higher than before if you have deleted decks with files in your Library.

What collaborators add counts toward the owner. Videos and files that people you have invited to a deck, previs, walkthrough or project upload to it now count toward your storage, not theirs, even when they are not on your workspace's team. This also applies when you invited them by email. Files they uploaded before October 15 still count for them where we can't tell which deck they went into. On the Storage page's Team tab, what collaborators added is listed under Others. Your total may rise if people you invited have uploaded a lot of video to your decks. Going over your limit deletes nothing: new uploads pause until there is room, and on a Free or Basic plan so does making new files.

Collaborators see whose storage is full. If a collaborator adds to a deck whose owner's storage is full, the message says whose storage it is and that the owner can free up space or upgrade, and the owner is notified.

The deck assistant can see your slides and draw on them

The deck assistant can look at your slides. Ask "how does this slide look?", "is anything cut off?" or "which colour in this photo would work for the heading?" and the assistant looks at the slide as it appears, zooming in on a photo or drawing when it needs the detail. It can't see inside embedded web pages, videos, 3D models or code widgets, and it says so rather than guessing.

It can draw. Ask it to circle the entrance in a photo, point an arrow at a detail on a plan, highlight a line of text, trace an outline or sketch a simple diagram. Its drawings are ordinary pen shapes you can reshape, recolour or delete like any other, and markup it draws on a photo or plan moves with that picture.

It can line things up. "Align these to the left", "space the icons evenly", "centre the logo on the page", "make the photos the same size", "bring the caption to the front" and "group these" are now done exactly, in one step.

More you can ask for in chat. The assistant can now make lines and borders dashed or dotted, put arrowheads on lines, choose which part of a photo stays in frame, flip a picture, set a slide's transition, and hide a slide from the presentation.

A reply that looks at a slide is priced like a message with an image attached, so it can cost more credits than a text-only reply.

3D walkthrough files in your Library and your storage

Walkthrough files are in your Library. The model, splat or panoramas in your 3D walkthroughs, new and existing, now appear in your Library as 3D models and images, so you can find them again and use them elsewhere. When a model is optimized for the walkthrough, the Library keeps the file you uploaded. The walkthrough itself stays in its project.

Walkthrough files count toward your storage. Models, splats and panoramas in 3D walkthroughs were not being counted, so the Storage page showed less than you were really using. They now count toward the storage of the workspace the walkthrough belongs to, including the optimized copy of a model. Your storage may show more than it did before. Going over your limit deletes nothing: new uploads pause until there is room, and on a Free or Basic plan so does making new files.

A full workspace pauses walkthrough uploads too. Adding a model, splat or panorama to a walkthrough now checks your storage like every other upload, and shows the same message when the space is full.

3D models in decks work the same way. A 3D model added to a deck appears in the project's files and your Library, counts toward storage, and follows the same full-storage check as other deck uploads.

Deleting a panorama you added removes its Library copy. When you remove a panorama you added from a 360 tour, it also leaves your Library, so you aren't left with an image that no longer exists.

Changelog in your account menu

What's new, one click away. Your account menu now has a Changelog entry, right under Documentation. It opens the release notes in a new tab.

Know which release you're on. The release number sits in small text at the right of the Changelog row. It is the date of Foveate's latest update, like 2026.10.16, so it is easy to compare with the newest entry on the Changelog page. Bug reports you send from the menu now carry it automatically, so we can see which release you were using.

Storage counts toward the workspace a file belongs to

Files count where they live. When you add an image, video or file to a deck, previs or project in another workspace, for example as a guest on a client's deck, it now counts toward that workspace's storage instead of yours. Files you upload to your own Library, and anything not added to a particular deck or project, still count toward your main workspace. Files you added before today follow the same rule wherever we have a record of the deck or project they went into, and videos and media stored with a deck, previs or walkthrough count toward the workspace that owns them.

Each file counts once. If you belong to more than one workspace, your files no longer count in full toward every one of them. Each file counts toward one workspace's storage.

A full workspace tells the right person. If you add to a workspace you don't own and its storage is full, the message says whose storage is full and that its owner can free up space or upgrade. You're no longer asked to upgrade your own plan for space that isn't yours. The workspace owner gets a notification.

Team storage shows each person's share. On the Storage page, the Team tab now shows what each person has added to this workspace. Media made by people who are no longer in the workspace is listed under Others.
