AI Chat
AI Chat is the composer on the home screen — a single prompt you can use to ask a question, generate media, or kick off a build without choosing a tool first. Describe what you want and Foveate routes it to the right place.
How a prompt is interpreted
Foveate reads your prompt and decides what you're asking for:
- Ask a question — get an answer about your work ("what's on track this week", "summarize the responses to my intake form").
- Generate media — create an image or other asset to use in your work.
- Build a plan — turn a request like "create a kickoff deck for the Aria Hotel project" into a concrete plan of what to build.
Mentioning existing items
Use @ to mention existing projects, decks, forms, and other items in your prompt. This gives Foveate context — you can reference a project to build inside it, or point at an existing deck to extend or reuse it.
Confirming a build plan
When your prompt calls for building something, Foveate proposes a plan first — what it will create and how the pieces fit together. Review the plan and confirm it before anything is built, so you stay in control of the result.
What it can build
From a single prompt, AI Chat can create:
- Projects — a new section-based data room for an engagement.
- Decks — slide-based presentations.
- Forms — intake and feedback forms.
- Walkthroughs — navigable 3D experiences.
- Previs — interactive 3D scenes.
Credits
Generation consumes AI credits — drafting a deck, creating an image, or building a plan draws from your balance. See Credits & billing for how credits and plans work.
Frequently asked questions
What can Foveate's AI build from a prompt?
Foveate's AI Chat can build projects (section-based data rooms), slide decks, intake and feedback forms, 3D walkthroughs, and interactive 3D previs from a single prompt. It can also answer questions about your work and generate images.
Does Foveate's AI build anything without my approval?
No. When a prompt calls for building something, Foveate's AI Chat first proposes a plan of what it will create, and nothing is built until you review and confirm that plan.
Can the AI use my existing projects and decks as context?
Yes. Type @ in the composer to mention an existing project, deck, or form, and Foveate uses it as context — to build inside that project or to extend an existing deck.
Does using AI in Foveate cost credits?
Yes. AI generation — drafting decks, forms, and plans, or creating images — uses AI credits. Viewing, editing, sharing, and reading analytics do not. See Credits & billing.
