Polycam is the world's most popular 3D scanning app for iOS, web and Android.

Polycam is a great 3D scanning app that is capable of scanning in 3 different modes;

LiDAR

Requires a Pro iOS device, can very quickly scan a space using a depth sensor with textures taken from the video input.

Photogrammetry

Can be done from any phone or with their web interface. Takes photo or video input and reconstructs a 3D model from them (Requires Polycam Pro).

RoomPlan

Apple's RoomPlan technology utilizes the camera and LiDAR Scanner on iPhone and iPad to create a 3D floor plan of a room, including key characteristics such as dimensions and types of furniture.

Export GLTF from Polycam

All of these modes produce a GLTF that can easily be exported. Simply click the download button in the top right corner and export as .glb to your Files App. Login to Foveate on your mobile device's browser. Then in Foveate you can create a new scene and pick a GLTF from your device to upload.

Export USDZ from Polycam

You can also export USDZ models from Polycam for usage in AR on Apple devices. Simply click the download button in the top right corner and export as .usdz to your Files App. Login to Foveate on your mobile device's browser. Then in Foveate you can create a new scene and pick a USDZ from your device to upload.
