Unreal natively supports the import and export of GLTF files since version 5.2. The plugin allows exporting selected actors, selected assets or a full level into GLTF files. Unreal files and textures can be very large so limiting your selection to the essential is recommended to guarantee speedy viewing on the web. Read more about GLTF in Unreal Engine here.
Go to Edit > Plugins and search for GLTF. Enable the GLTF Exporter Plugin. You may need to restart Unreal.
Select any actor in your scene, go to File > Export Selected and select .glb for export.
Select 1024x 1024 for Default Material Bake Size. This will automatically bake the materials of your actor into new textures that are ready for GLTF. Keep Mesh Bake to Simple for quicker export, although textures may appear less detailed.
Select JPEG for Texture Image Format. Setting the Texture Level to 85 will add some compression to the JPEG and keep file size down.
Click Export. Then drag and drop your GLB onto Foveate and it will be automatically compressed and optimized for you.
